Sermon
“While We Wait”
Matthew 25:14-30
Ironically, as much as we rush around in life always wondering where all the time went, we also seem to do a lot of waiting. Doctor’s offices, queues at amusement parks, drive-thrus, those quizzes before the previews before the movie we paid to see begins – we do a lot of waiting in our rushing. For the folks in Thesselonica, the question was “What are we to do while we wait?” Of course they, like us today, were waiting for Jesus to come back. Today, both Paul and Matthew have some answers to that question. But do we like what we hear?
