Welcome to Grace

God is here!

Grace is a congregation steeped in rich tradition, firmly grounded in the unending, unchanging promises of God through Jesus Christ. As a liturgical church, we would be accurately described as “traditional.” Our beautiful worship space reflects generations of God’s people who have reliably found God present for them in the gifts of Word and sacrament.

Being traditional, however, does not mean that Grace dwells on the past. The God who has been present here throughout the generations is the same living, active God who calls us together anew. We have a passion for God’s people living together in Christ, as we love, grow, and serve one another and the world in the name of our risen Lord. We are deeply committed to worshipping God in truth and faithfulness, and to serving this world and its people with love and care in Jesus’ name.

All are welcome

We firmly believe that there is a place for everyone in the family of God. As Christ welcomes and saves people without distinction or exception, so do we seek to welcome all to God’s family at Grace. This means that we welcome people of any and every race and ethnic background. It means that leadership in our church is not restricted to men. It means that people of all sexual orientations and gender identities are one with us as children of God. It means that people of all physical and mental abilities are seen as God sees them, as people who are whole.

Welcoming all people also means that it doesn’t matter what you wear to worship, how much money you have in your bank account, or what your political affiliation may be. It means that families of all shapes and sizes are encouraged to be present in worship, even and especially when your children are making sounds of holy praise.

Experience God's grace

As Christ is the Lord of all people, so Grace is a place for all people. We hope and pray that you will make your way over to the corner of Bonnie Brae and Division Street. We would love to meet you. There is a place for you here. Come to experience the fullness of God’s grace and the Spirit that is living and active as we gather to worship Jesus.

In Christ,

Pastor David R. Lyle
Pastor Troy Medlin
Pastor Michael D. Costello, Cantor
