Carl Schalk, composer, teacher, hymnodist, and founder of the Bach Cantata Vespers at Grace Church, died on Sunday, January 24. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the funeral on Monday, February 1, was limited to worshipers invited by the family. 

There will be a memorial service at some time in the future when we can again gather in large groups at church to worship and sing together.
