In-person worship services for up to 50 people begin on Sunday, July 19

Sign-up for worship services here.

Dear Grace members,

On Sunday, July 19, Grace will switch to a new worship schedule in order to accommodate more people in worship, in line with Phase 4 of the Restore Illinois plan. The 8:30am Sunday service will continue via livestream, attended only by those who are leading worship. This will allow us to have a full service featuring music with singing, which so many people value. Additionally, we will be offering three worship services for up to 50 people at a time. These services of Holy Communion will be offered on Sunday mornings at 11am, Monday evenings at 7pm, and Wednesday mornings at 11:30am. More details, including how to sign up to attend a service, will be available as we get closer to July 19. A few things to note for now:

  • The three services of Holy Communion will feature organ music and, from time to time, additional instrumental music. There will not be any congregational singing.
  • There will be minimal spoken responses by the congregation.
  • There will not be a printed bulletin. All hymnals and Bibles have been removed from the worship space.
  • Worshippers will be instructed about procedures in place to keep everyone safe when coming to worship.

The current weekday services of Holy Communion limited to ten people will conclude on Friday, July 10.

Please know that these plans are subject to change at any time based on developments related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

I look forward to seeing you in worship!

Yours in Christ,
Pastor Lyle
