Prayer of the Day
Almighty God, you anointed Jesus at his baptism with the Holy Spirit and revealed him as your beloved Son. Keep all who are born of water and the Spirit faithful in your service, that we may rejoice to be called children of God, through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

Teaching Nonviolence on Chicago’s West Side
Leaders of the Institute for Nonviolence Chicago, in the Seminar Room
"Nonviolence is a way of life for courageous people.” That was the vision of civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. On the 90th anniversary of King’s birth, leaders of the Institute for Nonviolence Chicago will discuss how they apply King’s principles and practices of nonviolence as they seek to reduce violence and homicides on Chicago’s West Side and build a more safe, peaceful, just community—what Dr. King called “the Beloved Community.”
Adult Ed schedule for January 2019
The Sunday morning Bible study group meets in the Conference Room.
The Grace Church Library is open and staffed on Sundays from 8:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Look for books related to Adult Ed topics as well as many other subjects. The library is also open for self-service during the week.
