1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

Sermon
"Fueled by Faith, Burning for Justice"
Matthew 25:1-13; Amos 5:18-24
Hopefully, in between the writing of this panel and worship on Sunday, we will have gained clarity into who has won the presidential election. But no matter who wins, we will still live in a world in need of the mighty wave of justice and the ever-flowing stream of righteousness of which Amos speaks. As people redeemed by Christ, our lamps have been filled with all the faith we need. We won’t be left out in the dark. But we must always be ready to let our lamps burn brightly for justice. As Paul reminds us today, we are promised heaven. Let our lights so shine that the Kingdom would come on earth, as well.
